Edward Artsrunyan

1929 - born in Leninakan (now Gyumri), Armenia. 
1944 – entered Art college after P. Terlemesian, Yerevan. 
1947-1951 – studied at the Art school attached to the Art Academy of the USSR in Leningrad (now St.Petersburg). 
1951-1957 – studied at the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture after I. E. Repin attached to the USSR Art Academy, Leningrad (now St.Petersburg).

Was the student of professors Serebrianiy, B. Kharchenko, G. Papikyan. 
1982-1985 – was awarded the Prizes of the Armenia Artists’ Union for the best work represented at a “single picture” exhibitions. 
Since 1984 – Honored artist of Armenia.
1980–1990 - was a member of the board and the chairman of the painting section of the Armenia Artists’ Union.

Gave lessons at the Art college named after P. Terlemezyan (Yerevan) and Institute of Fine Arts and Drama (Yerevan). 
1989 - was awarded the title of the People Artist of Armenia and silver medal of the USSR Art Academy “For the best exhibition of the year” (Central Home of artists, Moscow). 
2010 – died in Yerevan.

The works are kept in the fund of Tretiakov Gallery (Moscow), NGA (Yerevan), MAM (Yerevan), in the Funds of Ministry of Culture for Armenia, Artistic Fund of Armenia and numerous private collections in Armenia and abroad.
