Gevorg Saghatelyan - Painter, seascapist
Was born on 7th of November in 1974 in Yerevan. He has been interested in art since childhood. First drawing lessons were not just a favorite pastime for him, but rather the way to impress his whole world, to explore his surrounding environment with help of his own childish world outlook and then transferred it to paper. He asked many questions to his teacher, who was pleasantly surprised by his imagination and deep thoughts.
George's mother took him to a private teacher, as she saw artistic talent in her son. He understood his main mission then. Despite the fact that George lived far from the sea, he was greatly inspired with marine theme, he long admired by famous marine painters’ works, especially Ivan Aivazovsky’s works, in the National Gallery of Armenia.
It was during these teenage years when he created his artistic style – romantic realism.
He organized many author exhibitions in Russia and Armenia.
His works adorn the houses of famous collectors.
He is greatly inspired with the nature of homeland. He draws strength and inspiration to continue his creative path right here.
Now Georgy Saghatelyan is intensely developing his art activity and do not exclude, that the admirers of his art will be able to see his works in other styles besides marine.
